Grant

Objective: To help homeowners reduce their energy consumption by replacing doors and windows with more efficient models.

Amount: The amount is calculated per rough opening. For example, a bay window consisting of a group of three windows will be eligible for a single grant of $150, as the windows are installed within the same rough opening.

Procedure

  1. Initial energy assessment: Consult a Rénoclimat energy efficiency advisor to evaluate your home’s current energy performance.
  2. Replacement: Replace your doors and windows with approved models that meet the program’s criteria.
  3. Final energy assessment: After the work is completed, the advisor will return to assess the improvements made.
  4. Grant: Receive the grant based on the results of the final assessment.
